LEXINGTON, SC (WMBF) ? David Bennett has officially been hired as the athletic director and head football coach at River Bluff High School, according to district officials.
Bennett was approved by the Lexington County School District One Board of Trustees in December 2012, and today was officially hired for the position. He currently serves as the athletic director and guidance counselor at Horry County School's Socastee High School in Myrtle Beach.
Before coaching at Socastee, Bennett was responsible for starting Carolina Coastal University's football program, where he served as head football coach for 10 years, earning Big South Coach of the Year in 2004 and 2010.
In his 25 years of educational experience, Bennett's overall coaching record is 126-56.
